Cara Development and project partners receive prestigious award from NJHMFA!
On this date our team received THE SUPPORTIVE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT AWARD from
THE NEW JERSEY HOUSING and MORTGAGE FINANCE AGENCY. We are so proud to be recognized for the thing that matters most. It is one thing to erect a building but is another to stay committed to the residents who inhabit it. Together with our partners, improving the quality of life of our residents remains a constant priority. It is the driving force in our affordable housing developments.
"The Supportive Housing Development Award recognizes a housing project that serves individuals and families with special needs such as the homeless; victims of domestic violence; persons with mental, physical, or developmental disabilities; persons with HIV/AIDS; and youth aging out of foster care. This award went to OCEAN GREEN SENIOR APARTMENTS, a five-story building constructed on a vacant lot in Jersey City. The project was designed to provide 44 affordable senior units and 11 units for special needs residents. The project partners are Cara Development, C-Line Community Outreach Services, the City of Jersey City, Jersey City Medical Center - RWJ Barnabas Health, Inglese Architecture + Engineering, and Del-Sano Contracting Corporation." - NJHMFA
